The Ministry of Development and Technology has submitted a draft government program entitled "Aid for energy-intensive industries related to natural gas and electricity prices in 2023" for consultation to organizations bringing together entrepreneurs.

The aim of the program is to grant non-repayable aid for eligible costs incurred for the purchase of electricity and natural gas, directed to enterprises that meet certain conditions.

Moreover, the list of legislative works also included a draft resolution of the Council of Ministers on the adoption of the programme.

Compared to the previous edition of the program, the group of entities eligible to receive aid has been expanded , i.e. aid can be received by entrepreneurs conducting the majority of their activities in the PKD sections: "Mining and quarrying" and "Industrial processing".

Aid is available to companies that:

  • incurred costs of purchasing electricity or natural gas in 2021 constituting no less than 3% of its production value;
  • at least 50% of the value of sold production came from activities in one or more PKD subclasses, contained in sections B or C (PKD divisions from 05 to 33);
  • incurred costs related to the purchase of electricity and/or natural gas in 2023 that were at least 50% higher than in 2021.

Support will cover the following periods:

  • from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023,
  • from July 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023,
  • from October 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023

Applications must be submitted to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management within 45 days of the last day of the application period.

The company's role is to verify whether it meets the requirements for participation in the program, and must also prepare and complete the necessary data on the basis of which it will be possible to calculate eligible costs and determine the amount of aid due.

Then, if an application for aid is submitted, the burden shifts to the correct and reliable settlement of the aid, submission of the necessary declarations and forms, as well as constant contact with the offices in case of the need to clarify any doubts.

Such complex activities in terms of correctly submitting an application require organizational and substantive support in the process of effectively receiving assistance under the program.

If you are interested in submitting such an application, the Office offers substantive support in its submission, verification of documentation and, at a later stage, monitoring the status of the application and contacting the Office in this regard.
