Due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, the government is introducing further restrictions from March 20, 2021. These restrictions are expected to remain in effect until April 9, 2021, although further restrictions may be introduced during this period if the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise. The additional restrictions introduced from March 20, 2021, include:
- Suspension of operations:
- hotels (exceptions include workers' hotels and accommodation provided as part of business trips),
- Shopping malls – with the exception of, among others: grocery stores, pharmacies and drugstores, newsagents, bookstores, pet stores and DIY stores. Hairdressing, optician, banking and laundry services, among others, will still be able to operate in shopping malls,
- theatres, museums, art galleries, with the possibility of organising rehearsals and exercises, as well as online events,
- cinemas and cultural centers and houses for film screenings,
- swimming pools (does not apply to swimming pools in entities providing medical services to patients and members of the national team of Polish sports associations),
- saunas, solariums, Turkish baths, slimming salons, casinos,
- ski slopes,
- gyms and fitness clubs,
- discos and nightclubs,
- sports facilities (they may operate only for the purposes of professional sports and without public participation).
- Restoration of distance learning for students in grades 1-3 to the day.
At the same time, the existing restrictions remain in force.
