From December 28, 2020, further restrictions are to be introduced to counteract the spread of COVID-19, as announced by the Minister of Health during a press conference on December 17, 2020.
At the same time, the current restrictions are to be extended until January 17, 2021. We present a summary of the further restrictions that are to come into force from December 28, 2020:
- Restrictions on the operation of shopping malls: only grocery stores, bookstores, newspaper stores, drugstores, pharmacies and large free-standing furniture stores are open; in stores that can operate, the limit of 1 person per 15 m2 remains,
- Restrictions on the provision of hotel services: hotels and other accommodation facilities are closed, including for business travelers; these facilities will only be available to uniformed services, medics and patients of specialist hospitals, and staff hotels will also be available,
- Mandatory 10-day quarantine for people arriving in Poland by organized public transport,
- Movement is prohibited on the night of December 31, 2020, to January 1, 2021, between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except for essential work activities and urgent life needs.
- Sports infrastructure available only for professional sports,
- Closure of ski slopes.
These restrictions will apply from December 28, 2020 to January 17, 2021.
The regulation regarding the restrictions in force from 28 December 2020 has not yet been published.
