Ladies and Gentlemen,
as of October 10, 2020, additional restrictions have been in effect due to the dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases in our country. Currently, the entire country is covered by the yellow zone, excluding counties in the red zone. The current division of counties into zones is available at this link . The scope of the currently applicable restrictions is specified in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of October 9, 2020, on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders, and prohibitions in connection with the occurrence of a state of epidemic.
In the yellow zone, the following restrictions apply, among others:
- the obligation to cover the mouth and nose in public spaces, both in open spaces (including streets, roads, boulevards, cemeteries) and in closed spaces (including shops, cinemas, doctor's offices, schools),
- in a catering establishment and a catering garden, there can be 1 person per 4 m2 , and in the case of amusement parks, amusement parks, recreational parks, the limit is 1 person per 10 m2 ,
- In gyms, clubs and centers, there can be no more than 1 person per 7 m2 of space available to customers, while maintaining a distance of 1.5 m,
- 25% of the audience may participate during a sporting event,
- during cultural events, the limit of the audience is 25% in the case of closed spaces and 100 people when the event takes place in an open space,
- limit of 75 people at weddings, communions and other special events (effective from October 17, 2020)
In the red zone, the following restrictions apply, among others:
- limiting the operation of the catering zone between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. by introducing the possibility of selling food only as takeaway during this time,
- In the catering facility and the catering garden, there can be 1 person per 4 m22,
- the obligation to cover the mouth and nose in public spaces, similarly to the yellow zone,
- ban on the operation of amusement parks, theme parks, recreational parks,
- ban on organizing congresses, fairs, cultural events,
- no audience participation during sporting events,
- In gyms, clubs and fitness centers, no more than 1 person per 10 m2 of space available to customers can stay , while maintaining a distance of 1.5 m,
- limit of 50 people for weddings, communions and other special occasions.
Furthermore, anyone not wearing a face covering is required to present to the relevant authorities a medical certificate or document confirming the existence of health reasons justifying an exemption from the obligation to cover their mouth and nose. Such reasons include pervasive developmental disorders, mental disorders, moderate, severe, or profound intellectual disabilities, or difficulty in independently covering or uncovering their mouth or nose.
According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's announcement, senior hours will return from October 15, 2020, meaning that only people over 60 years of age will be able to shop in stores, drugstores, and pharmacies between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
