Ladies and Gentlemen,
additional restrictions will be in effect from August 8, 2020, due to the record-breaking increase in COVID-19 cases in Poland in recent days. According to the draft regulation on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders, and prohibitions in connection with the outbreak of the epidemic, additional restrictions will apply in individual counties (powiats) experiencing the highest increase in COVID-19 cases. These counties will be assigned to the red zone, where more severe restrictions will apply, or to the yellow zone, where slightly more lenient restrictions will apply. Data on cases in all counties in Poland will be analyzed once a week to update the lists of counties in each zone.
Currently, the division of counties into zones is as follows:
- The red zone includes the following counties : Pszczyna, Ruda Śląska, Rybnik, Rybnik and Wodzisław in the Silesian Voivodeship, Ostrzeszów in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Nowy Sącz and Nowy Sącz in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Wieluń in the Łódź Voivodeship,
- The yellow zone includes the following counties : Wieruszów, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Jarosław, Żory, Kępno, Przemyśl, Cieszyn, Pińczów, Oświęcim and Przemyśl.
In the red zone, the following restrictions will apply, among others:
- In the catering facility and the catering garden, there can be 1 person per 4 m22,
- obligation to wear masks also outdoors,
- ban on the operation of amusement parks, theme parks, recreational parks, gyms, cinemas,
- ban on organizing congresses, fairs, cultural events,
- sporting events without spectators,
- in a public transport vehicle, the permissible number of people is 50% of the seated people, and if the vehicle enters the zone, the ban on entering the vehicle applies until the number of people is below the 50% limit,
- limit of 50 people for family celebrations.
In the yellow zone, the following restrictions will apply, among others:
- In the catering facility and the catering garden, there can be 1 person per 4 m22,
- in the case of amusement parks, amusement parks, recreational parks, the limit is 1 person per 10 m2,
- in the case of organizing congresses and fairs, the limit is 1 person per 4 m2,
- 25% of the audience may participate during a sporting event,
- during cultural events, the limit of the audience is 25% in the case of closed spaces and 100 people when the event takes place in an open space,
- limit of 100 people for family celebrations.
Furthermore, from September 1, 2020, anyone who does not cover their mouth and nose for health reasons will be required to present a certificate or decision confirming the existence of these reasons.
