Another act aimed at eliminating perpetual usufruct has entered into force – the possibility of acquiring ownership has been extended to land used for non-commercial purposes

Four years have passed since the adoption of the Act on the transformation of the right of perpetual usufruct of land developed for housing purposes into the right of ownership of such land (hereinafter "the Act").

Today we will focus on an issue that has recently stirred up the development market – i.e. the announced changes intended to speed up the processing times for applications submitted to the land and mortgage register.

Today we are talking about the termination and amendment of the agreement on the transfer of land belonging to the State Treasury or a local government unit for perpetual usufruct, taking into account the purpose of using the land and its actual use.

The next article is devoted to the expiration of perpetual usufruct rights and their consequences. Despite its name, this right is a fixed-term right—established for a maximum of 99 years.
